Forge AI Deployment has announced a strategic partnership with webAI, committing $30 million to webAI to develop and deploy private, specialized AI for enterprise customers.
The agreement brings together webAI's collaborative intelligence platform and Forge's enterprise implementation and services expertise. Forge will work with customers to shape AI around their proprietary information, business processes and day-to-day operations, with systems running on infrastructure they control.
The partnership reflects a broader change in enterprise AI: attention is moving beyond the capabilities of general-purpose models toward specialized intelligence that can do useful work within a business.
Forge's leadership includes founder and CEO John Ezzell, who previously built an Oracle-focused services and reseller business that Deloitte acquired. Forge is bringing that experience to AI, pairing an emerging platform with the integration, implementation and operational knowledge large organizations need to put it into practice.
webAI supplies the underlying intelligence platform. Its approach allows organizations to build specialized models around their own knowledge, teams and operations, then run those models together across infrastructure under their control. Forge will design, deploy and operate customer implementations, ranging from a single specialized AI Persona to deployments spanning an entire company.
For David Stout, webAI's co-founder and CEO, general-purpose models are a starting point. He sees the path to super intelligence (SI) in collaboration among specialized intelligences, each deeply adapted to the individuals and organizations it serves.
Bringing specialized intelligence into enterprise infrastructure
webAI describes this architecture as the decision factory: AI organized around a company's distinct expertise, institutional knowledge and workflows, available wherever its people make decisions.
In this architecture, specialized AI Personas serve as domain experts. They collaborate through webAI's Intelligence Delivery Network (IDN), which connects compute in a private network controlled by the organization, instead of asking one general-purpose model to handle every task.
Forge's role is to turn that platform into operational enterprise systems. Its responsibilities cover system architecture, secure deployment, model integration and optimization, carrying the technology from an initial implementation into production use.

For enterprise customers, the aim is to move beyond subscribing to an AI service toward owning intelligence developed around their business.
